Physicochemical Properties

Soluble in hot water, ethanol and ether, slightly soluble in benzene, difficult to dissolve in cold water. It has sweet taste and can be sublimated. It can be decomposed into carbon dioxide and aniline during distillation, and friction luminescence. It shows purple quartz fluorescence in glycerol solution. It can form chelates with metals.
